He learned the mountains from his own father, the passes, the weather, the altitude rhythms that no textbook teaches. He spent decades guiding expeditions at some of the highest elevations on earth, and carrying the quiet authority that comes from having done something dangerous, carefully, for a very long time.

When Sam Sherpa joined him, something shifted. The mountain knowledge stayed the same. But the way of sharing the private itineraries, the connections with boutique lodges, the access to remote regions that standard operators can't reach, became something new.
